Where is my data kept?

On your phone, and only on your phone. There is no account and no server. That is also why we cannot recover anything for you — which makes the next question the important one.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Make a backup now and you are covered. More → Backup & restore → Export backup makes one zip file holding every entry, setting, photograph and recording. Save it wherever you keep things — Files, iCloud Drive, or emailed to yourself. Do it every month or two; it takes a few seconds.

How do I move to a new phone?

Export a backup on the old phone, get that file onto the new one, then on the new phone go to More → Backup & restore → Import backup and choose it. Importing replaces whatever is in the app, so do it before you start logging on the new phone.

Can my partner use it on their phone too?

Not yet, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise. Today the app runs on one phone at a time, and a backup is how you move between phones. Sharing between two phones — directly, without a server and without an account — is the next big thing we are building.

My reminders are not arriving.

Three things to check, in order. First, notifications for Little Beaver in your phone's own Settings. Second, More → Settings → Reminders inside the app. Third, More → Reminders, where the sync button rebuilds every reminder from scratch — and the “Send a test reminder” button proves whether they work at all.

One quirk worth knowing: iOS allows an app 64 scheduled notifications at a time, so the app books the nearest ones and adds the rest as they come up. That screen shows you how many are booked.

I logged a feed with the timer left running.

Tap the entry and correct it — every feed, sleep and nappy can be edited or deleted. The app will also nudge you if a feed timer has been running longer than you would expect, and you can change that interval, or switch it off, under More → Reminders.

Why can I not see the growth centile curves?

They need a date of birth and a sex on the profile, because the WHO standards are different tables for boys and girls and the app will not guess. Add those under More → Children and the curves appear behind the line.

Does it work without a signal?

Completely. Every week of guidance, every schedule and every sound is inside the app. It works on a plane, in a hospital basement, and at 3am with the wifi off.

How do I delete everything?

More → Backup & restore → Delete all data removes every profile, log, photograph and reminder from the phone. Deleting the app does the same. Neither can be undone, so export a backup first if there is any chance you will want it back.
